Israeli Jazz Council

The umbrella organization of the jazz community in Israel

Advancing the art of jazz in Israel, strengthening the community, and connecting artists, educators, institutions and festivals so the scene can flourish.

About the Israeli Jazz Council

The Israeli Jazz Council is the official umbrella organization of the jazz industry in Israel. It was founded on the understanding that the world of jazz — creative, educational and performing — needs a professional home to voice it before government institutions and the public.

The Council is made up of musicians, creators and artistic directors united to secure the future of Israeli jazz as a leading, thriving cultural field.

"Israeli jazz is a fascinating cultural mosaic of local roots, daring and musical excellence, deeply appreciated at home and abroad. The Jazz Council was founded to give creators a professional, stable and broad backing at every stage of their path, and to develop the infrastructure that will secure their prosperity. We are committed to making this wonderful work accessible, connecting musicians to the international frontier, and placing jazz where it belongs — at the centre of Israeli and world culture."
