Ticket Purchase and Cancellation Terms

Prices and payment, receiving your tickets, cancellation by you or by the Association, and refunds

1.General

1.1

These terms apply to buying event tickets on the Site. The seller is Israeli Jazz Council (registered non-profit association) (the "Association"), and payment is made to the Association. They form part of the Terms of Use and are subject to the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations; nothing in them limits any right the law gives the buyer.

1.2

When you buy, you will be asked to confirm that you have read these terms. The version in force on the day of purchase applies to the transaction.

2.The Seller

2.1

The Association's details, as the Consumer Protection Law requires for distance sales:

Name
Israeli Jazz Council (registered non-profit association)
Address
Tel Aviv, Israel
Website
jazz.ross-developers.com

3.Event Details

3.1

Each event page shows the date and time, the venue and its address, the performers, the ticket types and their prices, and other information given to the Association, such as age limits or accessibility arrangements. Events take place at third-party venues, and the venue's rules, such as security checks or no outside food, apply to everyone entering.

3.2

Pictures and descriptions are for illustration. Buyers are emailed about any change to the event details; your rights if there is a material change are set out under "Cancellation, Postponement or Change by the Association".

4.Prices and Payment

4.1

Prices are in new Israeli shekels. The Association is a registered non-profit and not a VAT-registered dealer, so no VAT is charged and none appears on receipts.

4.2

A service fee may be added to each order. The general service fee is currently ⁦2.9%⁩; for some events or groups of buyers it may differ, and its exact amount is shown before you pay. Before you pay, you see the order breakdown: ticket prices, discounts, the service fee and the total to pay, which is the amount that will be charged.

4.3

Payment is made in a single instalment, by credit card or another method offered on the payment company's secure payment page. The Association never sees or stores your full card details.

4.4

When you go to payment, your tickets are held for ten minutes. If payment is not completed within that time, the order lapses and the tickets go back on sale.

4.5

Current members of the Association may receive a discount according to their membership plan, shown before you pay.

5.Promo Codes and Benefits

5.1

The Association may offer promo codes and benefits, for example for members, donors or presales. Each benefit has its own conditions, such as validity, eligible events and ticket types, a minimum order amount and a limit on uses, shown when you enter the code.

5.2

One benefit can be used per order. The member discount and another benefit do not combine unless the benefit's conditions say so; otherwise the better of the two applies. Benefits cannot be exchanged for cash. If an order that used a benefit is cancelled, the refund is of the amount actually paid. When the whole order is cancelled, the benefit is given back: a single-use code or a personal benefit used on it can be used again while it is still valid. If only some of the tickets are cancelled, the benefit stays used.

6.Receiving Your Tickets

6.1

As soon as payment is confirmed, an order confirmation is emailed to the address you gave, with your tickets attached as a printable PDF with a QR code. The tickets are also on the tickets page and in the personal area, and can be shown from your phone even offline. The order confirmation is the written document the Consumer Protection Law requires, and it sets out the transaction details and how to cancel.

6.2

No confirmation within an hour? Check your spam folder, and if it is not there, write to info@jazzcouncil.org.il.

7.Using Your Ticket

7.1

Each ticket admits one person once to the event named on it. The QR code is scanned at the door and is valid for one scan only, so keep it safe and do not post it. A ticket that has already been scanned will not admit anyone again.

7.2

You may pass a ticket to someone else free of charge. Tickets may not be resold commercially or for more than their price.

7.3

Please arrive on time. Late entry is at the discretion of the venue and organisers, and lateness does not give a right to a refund.

8.Cancellation by the Buyer

8.1

Under section 14C of the Consumer Protection Law, you may cancel a ticket purchase within 14 days of buying, or of receiving the order confirmation if that came later, provided you cancel at least 7 days that are not rest days before the event. "Rest days" are Saturdays and Jewish holidays.

8.2

A cancellation given less than 7 non-rest days before the event, including for tickets bought within that period, does not carry a statutory right to cancel, except in the cases set out under "Cancellation, Postponement or Change by the Association".

8.3

If you cancel within your rights, you are refunded what you paid, including the service fee, less a cancellation fee of 5% of the transaction price or ₪100, whichever is lower. The refund is made within 14 days of receiving your notice, to the same payment method, and you will receive notice that the charge was cancelled. Cancelled tickets are no longer valid.

8.4

A senior citizen (65 or over), a person with a disability and a new immigrant (within five years of receiving immigrant status) may cancel within four months if the purchase involved a conversation with the Association, including one by electronic means, subject to the same 7-day rule before the event. The Association may ask for a certificate showing this.

9.How to Cancel

9.1

You can give notice of cancellation in any of these ways:

9.2

Give your full name, the order number (shown in the order confirmation) and the email address or phone number you used when buying. Every cancellation notice is acknowledged.

10.Cancellation, Postponement or Change by the Association

10.1

If the event is cancelled, every buyer is refunded in full, including the service fee, with no cancellation fee, to the same payment method. The refund is made automatically and you will be notified.

10.2

If the event is postponed, your tickets are valid for the new date. If the new date does not suit you, you may ask for a full refund within 14 days of being told of the postponement.

10.3

If there is a material change, such as a different headline artist or a move to a venue in another area, buyers will be told, and anyone who no longer wants to attend may ask for a full refund within 14 days of the notice.

10.4

This also applies when the event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond the Association's control, such as Home Front Command instructions or an artist's illness. To the extent the law allows, the Association's liability is limited to refunding what you paid and does not cover related costs such as travel, parking or accommodation.

11.Refunds

11.1

Refunds go back to the card or method you paid with, through the payment company. When the credit appears depends on your card issuer or payment provider. If only some tickets in an order are cancelled, the refund is for the corresponding part.

12.Accessibility

12.1

Information about accessibility at the venue, and requests for accommodations such as accessible seating, a suitable seat for a companion or a service dog, or an assistive listening system, are covered in the Accessibility Statement. We recommend contacting us at least a week before the event.

13.Other Terms

13.1

The Terms of Use govern the applicable law and jurisdiction. Questions: info@jazzcouncil.org.il or 052-258-0547.
